Bear Ridge Retreat is located in Sugar Mountain, Banner Elk, just a short drive from Beech Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, downtown Banner Elk, and Boone. Tucked away at the top of a quiet, dead-end mountain road, the cabin is surrounded by woodlands and nature, yet remains conveniently close to shopping and attractions.
Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is only 1.7 miles from the cabin, offering a scenic view of the slopes when driving to and from the property. In winter, the slopes and distant mountains reveal themselves through the forest, creating a stunning seasonal landscape. Sugar Creek Gem Mine and The Wilderness Alpine Coaster are both less than a mile away, conveniently located just before the turn onto the mountain road leading up to the cabin.
Enjoy the peaceful surroundings with over half an acre to explore, including private woods, a scenic stream, a fenced yard, and fun sledding areas in winter. Late Check-out
Late check-out times up to 1:00 PM on your departure day may also be available if there is no same-day turnover. Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance for late check-out requests. Any late check-outs not previously agreed upon will incur a $150 fee.
